The wonderful thing about what I do is meeting all the wonderful pets in my area. Whether they are young or old, energetic or slower, happy to see me or reactive, they all teach me something about them and about myself.
It is a respectful thing to slow down and take one's time to get to know someone. Whether they are human or animal, it is something the world seems to find harder and harder to do. Luckily, I get paid to slow down and treat animals with the respect they desire and deserve.
Don't be alarmed by some of them... our communication is a work in progress. A task I gladly take on for the well being of the animals I serve.
