Message From The President

Historically each year doggone safe has run a focused dog bite safety program from March to June. Rather than run a Dog Bite Education campaign for just a set period of time each year it has been decided by the Board of Directors that doggone safe should be promoting and supporting Dog Bite Prevention and Education in an ongoing manner to support its key mission.

The new campaign will launch in May, 2017 and run until April 30, 2017. This will be rolled out with a new and revitalized Be a Tree Presenter Program.

The goal of this new campaign is to motivate and support doggone safe members in their continued pursuit of Dog Bite Education through the Be a Tree Program and other, new, community endeavors we are developing.

Education statistics will be collated each month and each month there will be a doggone safe Community Ambassador award for the individual who educated the most children. At the end of the 12-month program an award will be presented to the individual who, over the course of 12 months, educated the most children and adults on “Dog Bite Safety”.

Exciting times ... more news to follow
